Wags For Us LLC

This Dog Sitting Service Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Wags For Us LLC ("Sitter") and the undersigned dog owner ("Owner"). By booking any dog sitting service, the Owner agrees to all terms outlined below.
Wags For Us LLC provides the following dog sitting services:
The Sitter agrees to provide the dog(s) with fresh water and food according to the Owner's feeding instructions, daily exercise and outdoor bathroom breaks, a safe and clean environment, medications as directed (if applicable), and regular photo/text updates to the Owner during each sitting period.
All dog sitting must be booked in advance. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking to secure the dates. The remaining balance is due on or before the first day of the sitting period. Holiday and peak-season bookings (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, July 4th) may be subject to a surcharge. Rates will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled sitting will receive a full refund minus the deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged 50% of the total booking. No-shows or same-day cancellations will be charged the full amount. If the Sitter must cancel, a full refund including the deposit will be provided, and the Sitter will make reasonable efforts to help the Owner find alternative care.
The Owner must provide complete and accurate information including: the dog's name, breed, age, weight, and temperament; current vaccination records (rabies, distemper, bordetella required); any medical conditions, allergies, or medications; feeding schedule and dietary restrictions; behavioral tendencies (e.g., fear of thunder, aggression toward other animals, separation anxiety); and the name and phone number of the dog's veterinarian. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and free from fleas and ticks before care begins.
The Owner acknowledges that dog sitting involves inherent risks. While the Sitter will exercise reasonable care and attention, the Sitter shall not be liable for illness, injury, or death resulting from pre-existing health conditions, natural causes, or circumstances beyond the Sitter's reasonable control (e.g., the dog escaping through a pre-existing fence gap). The Owner is financially responsible for any property damage, injury to persons, or injury to other animals caused by their dog during the sitting period.
In the event of a medical emergency, the Owner authorizes the Sitter to transport the dog to the Owner's preferred veterinarian or, if unavailable, to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic. The Sitter will make every effort to contact the Owner before seeking treatment, except where any delay would endanger the dog's life. All veterinary costs incurred during an emergency are the responsibility of the Owner. The Owner agrees to reimburse the Sitter for any out-of-pocket emergency expenses within 7 days.
For in-home and drop-in sitting, the Owner will provide a key, garage code, or lockbox access. The Sitter will use the access solely for the purpose of caring for the dog and will keep any keys or codes secure and confidential. Keys will be returned within 48 hours of the end of the sitting period unless the Owner requests they be held for future bookings. The Owner is responsible for ensuring the home is safe and secure for the dog (locked gates, no toxic substances within reach, etc.).
Unless the Owner opts out in writing, the Owner grants Wags For Us LLC permission to take photos and videos of their dog during sitting and to use them on social media, the website, and marketing materials. No personal information about the Owner (name, address) will be shared publicly.
Wags For Us LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for any dog that displays aggressive behavior toward the Sitter, other people, or other animals. If the Sitter determines that the dog poses a safety risk at any point during the sitting, the Owner will be contacted to arrange immediate pick-up. A partial refund may be issued at the Sitter's discretion.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice. Any prepaid, unused sitting days will be refunded on a prorated basis, minus the non-refundable deposit.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Wags For Us LLC operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.
